Churches Together in Otley – Prayer Breakfast

Christians from the churches in Otley meet on the first Saturday in the month. There is a simple breakfast of bread rolls and a hot drink followed by a few thoughts and shared prayer. This month the Prayer Breakfast is at the Parish Church and will include additional opportunities for prayer both together and alone. The season of Advent is a time of expectation and preparation where we pray for the coming of Christ’s kingdom presence in our lives and where we live. One key focus will be the General Election on December 12th.

There is no obligation to be there from 8am, but come when you can and stay for as long as you wish. The timetable will be as follows:

• 8.00 to 8.30 – Light breakfast
• 8.30 to 9.15 – Prayer and Share time led by Graham Buttanshaw
• 9.15 to 9.30 – Explore and pray at ‘Prayer Stations’
• 9.30 to 10.15 and 10.15 to 11.00 – Short ‘front-led’ introduction and presentation before praying in groups or alone

The church will remain set up for prayer for the rest of the morning and refreshments will be available in the church Saturday café.
