Christians from the churches in Otley meet on the first Saturday in the month. There is a simple breakfast of bread rolls and a hot drink followed by a few thoughts and shared prayer. This month the Prayer Breakfast will be at the Salvation Army hall. All are welcome.

A time of extended and concentrated prayer between Ascension and Pentecost by the Christians in Otley. Drop in and pray at any point, there will be plenty of resources to help you pray, no obligation to pray out loud and almost certainly an opportunity to meet other people and grow in your faith. At 9am, 1pm and 7pm each day there will be an hour led by a local church leader.
This is an initiative started by Justin Welby in 2016 and joined by every major denomination in the UK and beyond. This is a Churches Together in Otley event hosted by Casa Vitae, where we will be using the upstairs room.

This is a concert in aid of Singing for the Brain
Tickets are £8 (£4 concessions): Available from choir members and at Otley Courthouse or on-line (subject to a small booking fee) at the link above.
Singing for the Brain uses singing to bring people together in a friendly and stimulating social environment. Singing is not only an enjoyable activity, it can also provide a way for all sorts of people – people with dementia and their carers, people who have suffered brain injuries, anyone experiencing memory loss, people who just want to keep their brains active – to express themselves and socialise with others in a fun and supportive group. Hidden in the fun are activities which build on the well-preserved memory for song and music in the brain. Even when many memories are hard to retrieve, music is especially easy to recall. Sessions take place at Otley Courthouse on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month from 2-4pm.
Otley Singers Community Choir sing primarily for pleasure, though occasionally perform in concert.
Sally’s Army is a locally run choir for women’s voices. It offers lots of different genres of music and is audition-free. They take part in concerts and competitions like the annual charity festival, Disability Rocks and have performed in many concerts.
